Tal Y Don Hotel - Barmouth

The breakfasts here were satisfactory with mushrooms, hash browns, a completely hard over cooked egg. The location itself was perfect, close to The Round House Museum. Was set in 5 minutes' walk to the downtown, and the workers were attentive and affable.

We enjoyed very nice home cooking , especially the Sunday lunch, so good we went back every week, and the hotel is just a short stroll to the beach and the picturesque Barmouth Bridge, making it perfect for leisurely walks.

Absolutely loved the spacious family room with a large double bed and two singles. Plenty of tea and coffee choices too!

Family with children should definitely consider it

Location was great, having enough space for all of us in a big family room was refreshing. Breakfast was pretty solid too, they really took care of us and didn't forget our dog either, that was a nice touch.

It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but it all kind of worked out in the end.

The room felt spacious and clean. Enjoyed the comfortable bed, made for a great night's sleep. The friendly staff really stood out, always ready to assist. The breakfast was really good. Hot, well-cooked, and generous portions. We also appreciated the dog-friendly atmosphere. The exterior didn't match the interior standards. The entrance looked quite neglected, with full ashtrays and unkempt hanging baskets. Parking was a hassle. Had to pay at a nearby lot, which wasn't convenient. The shower room could use some maintenance. Water pressure fluctuated a lot. While the stay was enjoyable, a bit of TLC on the outside and some upgrades inside would elevate the experience significantly.

Clean rooms, cozy atmosphere. The food is locally sourced and delicious. Noise from the pub below can be distracting. Quick service during busy hours like Sunday lunch is a plus.

Clean room, comfortable bed, with plenty of tea and coffee facilities , made our stay enjoyable, and the lovely breakfast served daily added to the experience while the location made it easy to explore the area.

Excellent place with free Wi-Fi, a cozy bar/lounge area, and snacks available. The staff even helped me with great restaurant recommendations on my first visit. I highly recommend trying the Sunday roast!
